Birds eye view of the 503
Here are a few photos I took while visiting Portland in March of 2007.

Never before have I wanted to make love to a doughnut like I did after visiting VooDoo Doughnut.
Yummy
I found you.

No bit of history, art, or religion went unnoticed.

The Jupiter hotel is one of the funnest places I've stayed.  It has a  sixty's style decor  that brings out the party animal in any hipster.  Attached to the hotel is the Doug Fir Lounge, it has nightly music that attracts a  crowd of local hipsters.  When the Fir closes for the evening some of the patrons head back to the hotel part of the Jupiter, where it is  party balls all night!
This is the great Powell Books memorial monument.

The mystery of fondue.
and the balance of dessert

The Melting Pot is very much to fondue as the Red Lobster is to sea food.
Chocolate Kisses

The Wild Abandon provides a nice champange brunch along with a cozy atmosphere, delecious food, and a cheeky staff!
BKF in PDX, WTF?
I found Vincente's Pizza by sheer luck.  The pizza here is off the hook.  The best I have had in a long time!

The Tram is part of Oregon's public transportation system.  Passengers are suspended 500 feet in the air as they travel from South Waterfront  to the OHSU Center for Health & Healing.

JOOLIE COOLIE!!!

If there is a soul reason for the obesity problem in Portland it's The Original Pancake House and thier Dirty Dutch Baby.

I had never heard of the Illuminastry Trio, but I knew by the by the kind look in Bob's eyes this was one trio I did not want to miss.  I could have not picked a better band to see on Saturday night than the Illuminastry trio.  These guys take it to the next level!  These guys restored my faith in jazz.  Thank you Bob Dobbs,  thank you for showing me the way!
Illuminastry Trio features Skerik on sax (Les Claypool, Garage a Trois, Critters Buggin,) Mike Dillon on vibes and percussion (Les Claypool, Ani DiFranco, Hairy Apes BMX) and New Orleans standup bassist extraordinaire Jim Singleton (Astral Project).

Vibes rule. Vibes put through a couple pedals rule much harder!
